THE CONCEPT

Character, sophistication, comfort and incredible style make this hotel one of the best in KL city.

The lobby is filled with hanging glass lamps, one of the restaurants has an entire wall made of red brick and the perfectly square seats in the Snug breakfast restaurant are straight out of an interior design magazine.

It's the ultimate place for a staycation and the value for money here is extraordinary.

THE SETTING

Slightly out of town, Hotel Stripes is still within walking distance to most of the city's attractions.

The huge pin-like tower (the Menara Tower) that you'll see from the hotels roof top swimming pool is a 33 minute walk.

It's a 25 minute walk to the Petronas Towers and the closest shopping mall is just a quick 6 minute walk down the road.

25 minutes drive north, you find yourself at Batu Caves - one of the most visited destinations in Malaysia.

THE FOOD

Exceptional meals and service - the best we experienced during our time in Malaysia, and some of the best we've ever had in the world. Attentive and genuine.

Breakfast is served on level 2 at 'The Snug' restaurant where juices are served in glass bottles and fruit, sandwiches and whole fruit are kept in large fridges (in individual packets) if you're off for a meeting or wanting to take breakfast with you. It's all ready to 'grab and go'.

Steak fries and truffle infused mash, delicious fish dishes and specialty items such as escargot (snails) are some of the delicacies that forms the menu at Brasserie 25 - a french style fine dining restaurant on the ground floor.

Every day from 3-6pm there is an afternoon tea where you can feast on fried savoury treats before indulging in mouth watering french pastries and sweet treats, including the most delicious raspberry and white chocolate macaron you'll ever try. We couldn't stop!
